Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Chiropractic adjustment?

A Chiropractic adjustment is a high velocity, low amplitude force applied by hand to an area of the spine to improve joint function which ultimately reduces pain.

Does Chiropractic adjustment hurt?

Chiropractic adjustments are generally safe and comfortable for most patients. Some patients may experience mild discomfort or soreness following an adjustment, but this is usually temporary and can be managed with ice or heat therapy. It is important to communicate any concerns or discomfort to your chiropractor during the adjustment process so they can adjust their technique accordingly. Overall, chiropractic adjustments should not be painful or cause excessive discomfort. At our clinic, we prioritise patient comfort and will work with you to ensure a positive and pain-free experience.

Are X-Rays necessary for Chiropractic care?

“To see is to know… not to see is to guess”.

X-rays provide a blueprint of the condition and alignment of your spine, detailing the amount of damage and how long it has been present. This can make your adjustments more precise. It can also help rule out other conditions which may require help from other health care professionals.

What is the popping sounds?

This is caused by small pockets of air, which are in the fluid that surrounds your joints.

During a chiropractic adjustment, the pockets of air “pop,” which creates that cracking sound you hear.

Is Chiropractic a long term solution?

Chiropractic care has been shown to provide long-term relief for many individuals suffering from musculoskeletal conditions, such as back pain, neck pain, and headaches. By addressing the root cause of the problem and not just the symptoms, chiropractors aim to promote overall wellness and prevent future issues from arising.

However, the effectiveness of chiropractic care varies from person to person and depends on various factors such as the severity of the condition, overall health, and lifestyle habits. With ongoing chiropractic care, patients may experience long-term benefits such as increased mobility, improved posture, reduced inflammation, and enhanced overall well-being.

Does chiropractic treatment hurt?

Chiropractic adjustment should not be painful. However, in some instances when the injury is either acute (happen recently) or sub-acute(on the road to recovery), the muscles and ligaments may prove to be guarded or sensitive to the touch, these are some exceptions. A thorough examination of your complaints and conditions can alleviate any concerns that you may have.

I’ve tried Chiropractic and it didn’t work.

This could be due to miscommunication between the chiropractic doctor and patient, which causes a misdiagnosis.

Hence, before each chiropractic treatment, our professional Chiropractic doctor takes time to understand your needs and tailor the treatment plan.

Each step in the treatment is also explained, so you know what’s being corrected.

As a result, our treatment is effective, appropriate without being overdone, and clients feel safe with us.
